Water/Wastewater Project Manager
Responsible for the design of water and wastewater facilities from preliminary engineering through construction.
Requirements:
- Design new and expansions to water plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and lift stations
- Design rehabilitation, improvements, and reconfiguration projects for existing water and wastewater facilities
- Prepare drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents for construction of above referenced projects
- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable reviewing agency design criteria and approval processes
- Evaluate facilities and infrastructure to prepare facility evaluations, technology evaluations, capacity analysis studies, and capital improvement plans
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports and feasibility studies
- Familiar with Wastewater Treatment Plant Discharge Permits and applications
- Demonstrate knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plant operations optimization
- Prepare project construction cost estimates and engineering fee budgets
- Manage project schedules and budgets from commencement to completion of a project including sub-consultant contracts
- Demonstrate knowledge of facility startups, testing and treatment process issues
- Demonstrate knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory rules and standards
- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients throughout the project
- Coordinate and manage EIT’s, design staff, sub-consultants, review agencies and client representatives
- Manage multiple projects, studies, and clients while maintaining a high level of quality
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering required
- Minimum 4 years of related experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas preferred but not required, must be able to acquire within 6 months of hire
